- Willow was one of six cats who had kittens one summer in a local horse barn. To help, we agreed to bring her here to raise her four kittens who we'd then find homes for. There's nothing more fun than having kittens around, so this wasn't much of a sacrifice. At that barn, they kept finding kittens that had been rejected by their mothers or for some other reason needed to be mothered by Willow, so they brought them here. She nursed them all until she was so depleted that she weighed only four pounds. .All these years later, she's still here going strong.
