- SISU is pregnant!!! We're not sure when she'll deliver, but it shouldn't be long. In April 2026, we brought Sisu home from a kill pen. She needed an eye removed just like Charlotte and Doc, but unlike them, her problem was a cancerous growth. After picking her up, we drove her straight to Dr Bunn who took great care of her. She's healed beautifully. The name Sisu? You'll see in one of the pictures above that she has a map of the U.P. (upper peninsula of Michigan) on her side. In the U.P., there's a sizable Finnish population. In Finnish, the term "sisu" refers to grit, determination, and resilience. That's her!
