- Some years back, Boz was so elusive that he had to be captured in a bear trap. He'd been running loose in Oceana County for weeks. At that time, he was thin, unneutered, and carrying all the parasites he could. He's lived here since. His breeding makes him a working dog, and he likes nothing better than to be outside guarding the back door. We like to say that he checks everyone's IDs before letting them head toward the barn. At night, he insists on going out all the doors to secure the perimeter of the place before retiring. Boz is a gentle guy, but we know he'd protect us if he needed to. Everybody feels safer with Boz around.
